Cars made since the year 2000 do not have a separate fuel filter disposed outside the engine bay as the fuel filter is in the fuel pump which is inside the fuel tank. Canister filter is fixed on a clip on the firewall close to the brake master cylinder. First, remove some vaccum from the fuel system and then end the connection of the cable which is attached to the negative terminal of the battery. In the next sequence, remove the filter from the bracket and push on the screw clamps, than unplug the hoses that were on the top and down triggers of the fuel filter, for the inlet & outlet fuel hoses. It is rather easy to get the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe mixed up so, the filter needs to be inserted in the correct orientation, this is by placing the outlet at the top while the inlet is located at the bottom. lastly fit the inlet and outlet hoses to it screw the clamps well undo the battery cable reconnect the cable start the engine and then check for leakage.
