For the year 1999 and below, access the
Headlight housing bulb by pulling open the hood, at the back part of the assembly headlight housing on the right side remove the two screws and the plastic shield covers to reveal the bulb. Remove the electrical connector and remove the retaining ring and then pull out the bulb from the headlight. Using gloves, replace the new bulb assembly back into the housing and snap it back into the holder with the retaining ring in place, Plug the electrical wire back into the headlight and switch on the headlight to check if they work as supposed to. For 2000 and 2001 models, pull up the hood and locate the connector at the rear of the headlight housing which is at the midsection of the flexible cap. Press the TERMINAL at the side of the connector with the PUSH symbol to release it and, to dismantle the piece with the bulb and the retaining clip, further remove the rubber cover. Twist the ends of the clip towards each other and swing it away to release the bulb, by pulling it out with your hands touching the metal clip but not the glass; the reverse procedure if for putting in of the bulb. To replace the low beam and the high beam bulbs for the cars from the model of 2002 and newer, which has a xenon low beam bulb and the halogen high beam bulb, get to the hood of the car and find the round cover on the back of the headlight, screwing it counter clockwise, in order to remove it. To remove the bulb turn the bulb socket anti-clockwise to pull it off the housing and disconnect the retaining clip; one must not handle the glass part of the bulb while removing or fitting the bulb, simply twist the bulb anti-clockwise to fit it properly in the housing. High beam which is positioned inboard of low beam bulb should be twist and lifted out of the housing with right hand bulb twisted clockwise and left hand bulb twisted anti-clockwise, while the procedure to install is by twist the reverse of removal. Make sure the bulb is screwed in tight, so that it has proper contact with electricity to avoid melting.
