Loosen the wheel lug nuts, then lift the car to a proper height and put it on jack stands and then the wheel can be removed. After that, take off the brake disc or drum. Insert one of the lug nut a little into the stud that is to be removed and use a press tool to force the stud through the hub flange. The new stud should be fitted into the hub flange from the back side, then a spacer together with one or several flat washers as well as a lug nut should be put on the stud. It is advised that when you have reached this stage, you turn the lug nut as tightly as possible this will ensure that the stud fits perfectly in the flange. Last, replace the brake drum or disk, put back the wheel, and the lug nuts, raise the car, and finally, tighten the lug nuts required torque.
