If one wishes to take out the airbag module, then the first step should involve the detachment of the cable connected to the negative terminal of the battery. After this, recognize the location of an air bag and removable plastic covers near the side of the steering wheel, unscrew the bolts of the air bag by using screw drivers to get the bolt covers. Gently remove and pry the air bag module and then remove their connectors using a small screwdriver to lift the look button of each. Lay the airbag module to one side, then unbolt the steering wheel, and mark where the steering wheel is to the shaft in the case where manufacturer had not placed any reference marks. Prize off the steering wheel from the steering smash using a steering wheel puller, making sure that no electrical leads from the air bag module and the cruise control system get in the way. Before installing, ensure that the front wheels are parallel to the ground. If the spiral cable for the airbag has been removed, or if the center position has been moved, rotate it clockwise until stiff to rotate, then rotate it anti-clockwise about 2 turns until the marks are opposite and the position pin is set for 12-o'clock position. Screw the electrical leads for the airbag module and cruise control system through the steering wheel and fit the wheel properly to have the marks aligned and see that the spiral cable pin is poking through the corresponding. Screw in the steering wheel retaining nut and then tighten it to the size mentioned in the manual and screw in the airbag module and tighten up the bolt. Last of all, join back the battery connection and make the other re-learn processes that are involved with the possibility of checking the working of the airbag circuit by turning the ignition key On or Start that will need the "AIR BAG" warning light to turn on and blink before switching off.
