Lower and detach the right side drive shaft assembly. Clamp the extension shaft and turn the bearing to check that it goes round and round, and is as quite as a mouse. Therefore if the bearing feels rough and noisy with heavy grinding sounds take the assembly to an automotive machine shop to have the old bearing removed from the shaft and replace it with a new bearing. It is also recommended that three new dust shields are fitted; two of which are internal dust shields and one which its an external dust shield, in addition to the new bearing. Last, put in the driveaxle assembly and fasten the axle bearing retainer bolts to the required level of torque.
