Any time that there is an indication of damage or uncertainty regarding a belt's condition, it must be replaced. If there has been a collision, in this case, all used belts at the time of the collision must certainly be replaced, and all the other belts require an attentive inspection. To clean the belts use warm water and non-detergent soap, but do not use chemical cleaners, strong detergents, dyes, or bleaches. Do not hang the belts with the hooks touching the belts and do not use any heat in conditioning them.
