For 2011 and earlier models, begin by using a plastic trim tool to disengage the metal clips in the trim panel in front of the parking brake, carefully prying up the trim panel and disconnecting the electrical connector. Next, pry up the trim panel surrounding the parking brake and cup holders, then pull up and disengage the metal clips to remove the console panel around the shifter. On manual transaxle models, remove the shifter and boot, followed by the rear console panel after removing the securing fasteners. Then, remove the fasteners for the console side panels and carefully pry off the left and right side panels. After that, remove the fasteners securing the front part of the center console and pull the console up over the shifter. Installation follows the reverse order of removal. For 2012 and later models, move the shift selector to the "N" position for automatic and CVT transaxles, or remove the shift selector handle and console boot for manual transaxles. Raise the parking brake lever, then remove the center console assembly clips and rear screws. Adjust the front seats to their respective positions, disconnect the harness connectors from the power socket and USS/auxiliary jack if equipped, and remove the center console. Installation is again the reverse of removal.
