Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then set the wheels in the straight ahead position. Remove the
Steering Wheel and the upper and lower steering column covers. Disconnect and remove the combination switch and the spiral cable. Remove the finisher plate from the bottom of the instrument cluster, then detach each of the switch connectors installed on the steering column. Disconnect the steering column wiring harness, remove the upper intermediate shaft bolt, and take out the intermediate shaft from the column. Remove the steering column mounting nuts and take out the steering column, followed by removing the lower intermediate shaft bolt and the shaft. Finally, remove the Electric Power Steering (EPS) unit/bracket mounting screws, and take out the bracket and EPS unit from the steering column. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to tighten all bolts to the specified torques.
