Lift the vehicle up, place jackstands under it to support the weight, then take off both the splash shield from below and unhitch the vent hose from the differential housing. Identify how the driveshaft links to the differential's companion flange, take out the driveshaft from the flange, and hold it in place with an underbody wire. Hook pieces of wire between the engine block and the drive axles, holding them in place as they fall off the underbody. Lift the engine from above while you release the engine bolts and platform standing with a lifting device or rack. Assemble a floor jack below the differential, lift the front axle assembly, then take off the differential and tube mount bolts from the cross member of the front suspension. Detach four bolts on each end of the differential setup and gently lift the whole axle/differential combination out from below the car. Installation works just like removal, but in reverse order: first tighten all hardware, from engine mounts to nutsvending records, then check and top up differential oil if needed.
