Nissan 44011-7S000 Rear Caliper Assembly Left Hand Without Pad & Shim

Before you lift any vehicle with auto-leveling suspension from the rear, turn the key to "OFF" first. We use this procedure when working on either the front or back disc brake calipers. First, loosen the wheel lug nuts. Lift the car up and support it on two sturdy jackstands. Block the wheels on the other side of the car for extra safety. Remove the wheel. Open and remove the brake hose from the caliper. Throw away the old sealing washers, but plug up the brake hose right away to avoid letting dirt and air into the braking system. Keep using the brake hose when you want just pull out the caliper for easier access to other components. For easier access, unscrew the piston bolts. Take off the caliper and hold it by wire if the hose remains connected. You put the brake hose in place the same way you took it out. Be sure to include new sealing washers on each side of the fitting when installing, then tighten the bolt and caliper mounting bolts to their required torque levels. Before using the car, rebreath the braking system if the brake hose was taken off, find and fix any leaks around the hose connectors, and thoroughly check how well the brakes work.

To remove the caliper, you should start by removing the caliper mounting bolts and then detach the caliper from the mounting bracket. If the brake hose is still connected, it's important to secure the caliper with wire and avoid letting it hang by the hose to prevent damage or strain on the hose.
