To replace the exterior mirror assembly, you need to first, remove the door inner trim panel and the battery negative terminal. To progress, remove the mirror wiring connector and free the three nuts holding the mirror so that you can pull out the mirror at the exterior of the car's door. In regard with the mirror glass, due to its top and bottom CLIps, ensure that when poking into the top the glass is pressed in and then use a lever put into the bottom edge to ensure that the clips holding the mirror glass to the mirror body are released and by this the glazing is pulled out and any wiring connectors from the heating element cables if any are disconnected. To release the retaining pawls and pop the outer shell off and to replace, force the shell onto the mirror body thus securing the pawls and clips into position before replacing the mirror and the glass. For the electric motor, first, disconnect the mirror glass, then take off three screws that are placed within the mirror housing and finally, pull out the motor and differentiate the wiring connector. Refitting is done in a backward manner by first fastening the mirror glass securely.
