First, detach the electrical connector from the lock cylinder, if your vehicle is equipped with one. Then, using a screwdriver or a pair of pliers, pry the lock cylinder retaining clip off the lock. Pull the lock outward to disengage it from the door and the lock cylinder control rod. On some models, you may also need to disengage the clip securing the control rod to the lock cylinder.

Start by removing the door trim panel. Then, release the control rod guide clip. Remove the retaining screws and pull the handle free from the door. Finally, disconnect the control rods from the rear of the inside handle. If there is a retaining screw trim cover, pry it out before detaching the inside handle retaining screw. Slide the handle back to disengage it from the door. The installation process is the reverse of removal.
