When replacing flexible brake hoses, start by loosening the wheel lug nuts, raising and securely supporting the vehicle on jackstands, and removing the wheel. Then, at the frame bracket, unscrew the brake line fitting from the hose, remove the brake hose bracket from the steering knuckle, and pass the hose through the bracket. Remove the U-clip from the female fitting at the bracket. At the caliper end, remove the inlet fitting bolt, separate the hose from the caliper, and discard the sealing washers. Connect the fitting to the caliper with the inlet fitting bolt and new sealing washers, tightening to the specified torque. Route the hose into the frame bracket without twisting it, connect the brake line fitting, and secure it tightly. Bleed the caliper if necessary, install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.
