Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For the front blower motor, remove the glove compartment and lower dash trim. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor. Detach the harness from the blower motor housing and remove the blower motor mounting screws. Pull the blower motor carefully out of the housing. If you are replacing the motor, detach the fan and transfer it to the new motor. For the rear, remove the upper and lower right-rear interior trim panels in the luggage compartment. For 2008 and later models, remove the rear heating/air conditioning unit by having the air conditioning system discharged at a dealer service department or service station, draining the cooling system, disconnecting the heater hoses from the heater core, disconnecting the air conditioning refrigerant lines from the expansion valve, disconnecting all of the electrical connectors from the heating/air conditioning unit, detaching the ducts and the drain hose for the evaporator, and removing the mounting fasteners, then lift the unit out. Remove the blower motor mounting screws, then pull the blower motor out of the housing. If you are replacing the motor, detach the fan and transfer it to the new motor. For 2007 and earlier models, disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor, remove the blower motor mounting screws, then pull the blower motor carefully out of the housing. If you are replacing the motor, detach the fan and transfer it to the new motor. Installation is the reverse of removal. Run the blower and check for proper operation. For the blower motor resistor, remove the glove compartment and lower dash trim. Disconnect the electrical connector for the blower motor resistor. Remove the blower motor resistor mounting screws, then carefully pull the resistor out of the housing. For the rear, remove the lower right-rear interior trim panel in the luggage compartment. Disconnect the electrical connector for the blower motor resistor. Remove the blower motor resistor mounting screws, then carefully pull the resistor out of the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. Run the blower and check for proper operation.
