Every vehicle model except G35 Sedan models starting with 2007 needs an automotive air conditioning shop or a dealer service department to discharge air conditioning before vehicle work can move forward. You should remove the radiator grille which is attached to the bumper cover. You can easily reach the line fitting at the receiver-drier base through removal of the engine lower splash shield. The electrical connector from the HVAC Pressure Switch needs to be unplugged first before unscrewing the switch while avoiding motion of the receiver-drier bracket. For all models beyond this one remove the pressure switch by unscrewing it from its mounting place on top of the receiver-drier then discard the associated O-ring seal. The radiator support assembly clearance needs extra space for the switch installation so workers should remove radiator retainers followed by carefully shifting the radiator and condenser away from the support assembly. Saturate a new R-134a suitable O-ring seal with appropriate refrigerant oil before installing it at its designated position. Position the new switch until you reach hand tight resistance then continue until proper securement. The system requires evacuation and recharging followed by performance tests for leaks which should be completed at the shop where it was discharged.

To remove the compressor, discharge the air conditioning system, remove the drivebelt, unscrew the refrigerant pipe retaining plates, disconnect the wiring, and remove the compressor. Drain oil if renewing. For refitting, lubricate new sealing rings, fit the pipes, reconnect the wiring, and refit the drivebelt. For the condenser, remove the front bumper, air guides, intercooler, disconnect the pipes, and remove the condenser. For the receiver/dryer, remove the bumper, air guide, bolts, and disconnect the pipes. For the pressure switch, disconnect the wiring, unscrew it, and replace the sealing ring. For the evaporator, remove the heater/ventilation housing, components within, and the evaporator cover. For the expansion valve, remove the cowl panel, disconnect pipes, undo the bolts, and remove it. Refit with new seals.
