Q:
How do you remove and replace a PCV valve on Nissan Sentra? Posted by Customer
A:
Loosen or take out the bolts that secure the engine cover in place and take off the cover. Find the PCV valve at the valve cover and disconnected the hose then removed the PCV valve since the clamp is fixed using plier and the hose can be pulled off. Replace the O-ring each time the PCV valve assembly is pulled out. connect the hose back to the valve, and with the engine running at the normal speed on normal temperature, block the end part of the valve with your finger. Hose and valve must have no vacuum If there is no vacuum at the valve, it is good to check if a hose or the valve is plugged; in this case, the faulty hoses must be replaced with the suitable ones if they have worn out. Before buying a new PCV valve, make sure that it will fit the specific make and size of your vehicle and your car's engine, comparing the old and new valves they should be almost same. Again, removal is done in an opposite sequence to installation.

Q:
How do I remove the engine cover and locate the PCV valve and PCV Hose in the valve cover on Nissan Titan? Posted by Customer
A:
Take off the engine cover. This is where you can find PCV valve which is in the valve cover. PCVs are located on the VC's. After removing the tube from the valve, remove the valve from its place inside the valve cover. Shake up this PCV, listen for a tiny sound coming out of it as it moves inside. You need to get a new one if it doesn't make noise when you shake it. Don't forget to ensure that you get a PCV replacement that is meant for your car and its engine's size. Compare an old valve with a new one to verify their identity.

Q:
How do you remove and replace the PCV valve in your Nissan Altima? Posted by Customer
A:
This valve is situated on the valve cover with the aid of the hose already connected to the valve, therefore you have to first disconnect the hose and then take out the PCV valve. I prefer doing this with the engine in idle after the engine has warmed up, with your fingers, apply pressure near one end of the valve then, if there is no vacuum, look for a plugged hose or the valve then replace it if it is plugged or deteriorated. When buying a new PCV valve, make sure that you buy the right one for your car and engine capacity as you hold it alongside the old valve. If removal is done in a sequential manner, installation on the other hand is done in a sequential backward manner.
