When installing the accelerator cable, follow these steps: Installation: Install the cable through the firewall into the engine compartment. Connect Cable Clips: Attach any cable clips that secure the cable. Pass Cable Through Slot in Arm: Pass the cable through the slot in the accelerator pedal arm. Attach Cable End to Pedal Arm: Attach the cable end to the accelerator pedal arm. Secure Accelerator Cable to Bracket: Secure the accelerator cable to the cable bracket. Adjusting Nut and Locknut: Loosen the adjusting nut and locknut on the cable.

Depress the lock plate on the cable adjuster and pull the adjusting tube toward the adjuster. Release the lock plate, and with the assistance of another person, quickly depress the throttle to the full open position and then release it. Mark the cable where it exits the boot above the adjuster using tape or a grease pen.
