To remove the shock absorber, you need to lift the rear part of the car and firmly set it on lifetimes the difference and temporarily stop the forward wheels from rolling. Next, place a jack under the axle to support it and lift it just enough to take the load off the springs. Then remove the nut at the top of the shock absorber which is secured at the frame rail, and the nut at the bottom of the lower mounting at the axle then pull the shock absorber from the mount. For installation align the shock absorber to the mounts and tighten the upper mounting nut just enough and then the lower mounting nut bolt to just enough to hold the shock absorber in place. Last of all, turn the nuts to the required tightening torque.
