Place the spring in position and install the front mounting fasteners, but don't tighten them yet. Raise the rear of the spring and shackle into position and install the mounting fasteners but don't tighten them yet. Raise the axle on the jack until it mates properly with the spring. Install the small bumper and U-bolts, followed by the spring plate, and then install new nuts. Tighten the U-bolt nuts in a crisscross pattern. Install the storage box (if removed) and tighten the bracket mounting fasteners securely. Finally, install the rear wheels, lower the vehicle to the ground, bounce it a few times, and then tighten the front, rear, and shackle mounting fasteners. Don't forget to tighten the lug nuts on the wheels.
