How to safely reassemble my transmission assembly on 2014 Nissan Juke?

This operation is much quicker and more efficient if the car is first taken on a journey of sufficient length to warm the engine/transmission up to normal operating temperature. Park the car on level ground, switch off the ignition and apply the handbrake firmly. For improved access, jack up the front of the car and support it securely on axle stands. Note that the car must be lowered to the ground and be level to ensure accuracy when refilling and checking the oil level. Wipe clean the area around the filler/level plug, which is screwed into the front of the transmission housing on 5-speed transmissions and screwed into the left-hand side of the transmission, to the rear of the driveshaft, on 6-speed transmissions. Remove the oil filler/level plug, be prepared for some oil spillage as the plug is removed. Position a suitable container under the drain plug, which is situated at the lower rear of the transmission differential housing. Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely into the container. If the oil is hot, take precautions against scalding. Clean both the filler/level and the drain plug, discard the sealing washers, as new ones will be required on refitting. When the oil has finished draining, clean the drain plug threads and those of the transmission casing, then fit the new sealing washer and refit the drain plug, tightening it to the specified torque wrench setting. If the car was raised for the draining operation, lower it to the ground, to make sure it is level. Refilling the transmission is an awkward operation. Above all, allow plenty of time for the oil level to settle properly before checking it. Note that the car must be parked on flat level ground when checking the oil level. Refill the transmission with the exact amount of the specified type of oil, then check the oil level. If the correct amount was poured into the transmission, and a large amount flows out on checking the level, refit the filler/level plug and take the car on a short journey so that the new oil is distributed fully around the transmission components, then check the level again on your return. When the level is correct, refit the filler/level plug and tighten it securely. Wash off any spilt oil.
