- Q: How do you remove and reinstall the console on Nissan 300ZX?A:First of all, with the help of a small screwdriver, you have to open the 300ZX emblem at the front of the console to remove it. Subsequently, turn the console compartment lid and remove the switch cover notice, which is held by eight screws. Next, use your screwdriver to take off the console retainers; there are two in front, one at the back by the shifter, and three in the compartment. Next, lift up the console and, if there are any, remove electrical connectors. For installation, after that return the console to its place and establish the electrical connections. Continue by fixing the console retainers in the console case then fixing the switch cover in position by applying pressure on it. Last of all, align the 300ZX emblem and place it back in its proper place.
