How to measure and adjust the brake pedal height and switches on Nissan Altima?

With the brake pedal fully released, measure the distance from the top of the pad to the floor with the carpet and padding removed, ensuring the measurement is taken at a right angle to the floor. If the height is not correct, it must be adjusted. Release the brake light and cruise control cancel switches by turning them counterclockwise 45 degrees. Loosen the lock nut located just in front of the power brake booster clevis. Turn the booster input rod until the pedal height is correct, then tighten the lock nut. With the threaded portion of the brake light and cruise control cancel switches contacting the bracket, turn the switches 45 degrees clockwise to lock them in place. Adjust the brake light and cruise control switches if necessary.
