Control Arm with a floor jack. Using a back-up wrench on the stem, remove the shock absorber upper mounting nut. Hold the shock absorber stem with a wrench to prevent it from turning when the upper mounting nut is loosened. Remove the metal washers and rubber bushing. Note the order in which they are installed. Remove the bolt that attaches the lower end of the shock absorber to the lower control arm. The shock absorber is attached to the lower control arm with one bolt, the nut is welded to the bracket on the other side, you don't have to hold it with a wrench. Remove the shock absorber. Remove the bushing and washer from the stem. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to tighten the upper mounting nut and the lower mounting bolt to the torque values. Install the wheels and lug nuts, lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts to the torque.
