Jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the rear caliper and
Brake Disc. Check the shoes for wear, damage, and contamination, replacing them if problems are found. To remove the shoes, unhook the springs and take them off, then separate the shoes from the toggle lever and adjuster. Apply a light coat of high-temperature brake lubricant to the shoe contact points on the backing plate. Installation is the reverse of the removal steps, with the spring that has one coil going at the top next to the adjuster and the spring with two coils positioned at the bottom.
