- Q: How to measure and adjust the brake pedal height and related components on Nissan Murano?A:With the brake pedal fully released, measure the distance from the top of the pad to the floor with the carpet and padding pulled back, ensuring the measurement is taken at a right angle to the floor. If the height is not correct, it must be adjusted. Release the brake light and cruise control cancel switches by turning them counter-clockwise 45 degrees. Loosen the lock nut just in front of the power Brake Booster clevis, measure the distance between the power brake booster and the hole in the clevis, and if necessary, adjust the clevis before installing the power brake booster. Turn the booster input rod until the pedal height is correct, then tighten the lock nut. With the threaded portion of the brake light and cruise control cancel switches contacting the bracket, turn the switches 45 degrees clockwise to lock them in place, and adjust the brake light and Cruise Control Switches if necessary.
