How to remove and install the radiator fan assembly in a Nissan Murano?

Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the engine lower splash shield. Drain some coolant from the radiator to a level that's lower than the upper radiator hose. Remove the inlet air duct. Remove the battery and the battery tray. Remove the upper radiator hose assembly including the cap and adapter. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fans and move the wiring harness aside. Disconnect the wiring from the airbag sensor and move it aside. Remove the bolts from the battery tray support bracket, then move it aside. Remove the bolts at the upper corners of the fan support, then pull it upward to detach it at the bottom. Remove the radiator fan assembly. If necessary, remove the nut and detach the fan blade assembly from the motor shaft. Remove the screws retaining the fan motor to the fan shroud, then detach the motor. Installation is the reverse of removal. Refill the cooling system. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures.

The Nissan Murano Radiator fan serves to regulate engine temperatures by pulling fresh air through the front-mounted radiator when traffic is crawling or when the SUV is idling. An electricity-driven component, the Radiator fan is positioned within a shroud adjacent to the radiator core. It features composite blades designed to rotate in unison. As the blades spin, air is drawn toward the fins, facilitating the dissipation of heat from the engine coolant that circulates within the radiator. When traveling at highway speeds, cooling is accomplished through natural airflow via the grille.
