This procedure applies to automatic transaxles only and involves two speed sensors, the primary sensor mounted on the transaxle casing at the front side opposite to the radiator and the second sensor mounted on the casing of the transaxle on the left extremity. Starting with left front wheel, you should unbolt the lug nuts on the left front wheel, lift the car and immobilize it on jackstands and finally, detach the left front wheel. Following this, remove the left inner fender splash shield and you unplug the electrical connector to the primary and secondary transmission speed sensors. Loosen the nut on the top and the two bolts at the side to remove the sensor, then throw the O-ring away. As for the new sensor, put a little amount of the transmission fluid and then follow the procedure of installation in the reverse order to the removal.
