Remove the power steering pump reservoir by pulling it up off of its bracket. Next, drain the fluid from it and properly dispose of the same and then remove the reservoir bracket by taking out the fasteners. Detach the air intake duct. After this, proceed to remove the drivebelt. Disconnect pressure sensor electrical connector which includes power steering pump electrical connector, pressure line fitting and feed hose clamp. Remove pressure line and feed hose from pump. Discard sealing washers on both sides of the pressure line fitting and cap hoses. Finally, unscrew mounting fasteners and remove pump from vehicle but do not spill fluid on painted surfaces. Use holes in pulley to access power steering pump mounting fastener screws. To install: Position pump onto mounting bracket then install mounting fasteners. Tighten fasteners. Connect pressure line and feed hose to pump. Ensure new sealing washers are used on pressure line fitting and tighten banjo bolt.Install drivebelt.Remaining installation is reversal of removal.Fill recommended fluid into power steering reservoir, then bleed system using method that will be given below.
