Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Insert a large screwdriver or prybar between the mount torque rod and the bracket or transaxle and pry against it. Check to ensure the rubber within the mount torque rod is not cracked or separated from the bushing in the center; if it is, replace the mount torque rod. To replace the mount, support the transaxle with a jack, remove the nuts and bolts, and take out the mount, which may require slightly raising the transaxle for enough clearance. For the torque rod replacement, remove the nuts and bolts and take out the torque rod, possibly needing to rock the transaxle slightly to access the torque rod bolts. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
