How to remove the Rack and Pinion steering gear on the Nissan Xterra?

When a car has power steering, put a drain pan under the Rack And Pinion mechanism. First, open the car's hood and take off the power steering connections running to the steering gear. Use a flare-nut wrench if you have one because it prevents making the circular hollow fitting corners uneven. Cover both lines to keep fluid from leaking out and staying clean.
