Have the refrigerant discharged at a dealer service department or an automotive air conditioning repair facility. Remove the bumper cover. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure sensor, then release the upper retaining tabs. Remove the clamp bolt (A/C Accumulator clamp bolt). Remove the mounting bolt at the bottom (A/C Accumulator lower mounting bolt), then pull the A/C Accumulator off the refrigerant lines. When installing the new A/C Accumulator, add 0.3 ounce (10 cc) of refrigerant oil to it. Caution: Use only refrigerant oil compatible with the R-134a system in your vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to use new O-rings on the refrigerant line fittings. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by the shop that discharged it.
