How should the back-up light switch and neutral position switch be tested and replaced on Nissan Altima?

This back-up light switch should auto-connect in Reverse and the above mentioned neutral position switch should auto-connect in Neutral only. First, safely remove the car from the ground with jackstands then apply an additional measure by pulling the connector off the switch. Afterwards, unscrew the hold-down bolt and take the switch in a straight direction from the transaxle. For the new O-ring used on a recently bought switch, lightly coat it with clean oil before using it to replace the new switch and O-ring, and then, adequately tighten the hold-down bolt. Subsequently connect the electrical connector and scrutinize the on/off switch and then finally, lift the car with the jackstands and then lower the car.
