On top of the automatic transaxle mounts the transmission range switch. Firstly, remove the nut and then get the manual lever out of its position in relation to range switch assembly. Afterwards, take off the electrical connector from the switch. Finally, take away also the mounting bolts and then remove the range switch itself. The reverse of removal is an installation process. Put the range switch in its original position. Make sure that engine will start only in Park or neutral Verify that back-up light will come on only when reversing vehicle Adjust range switch as necessary to ensure these conditions are met For adjustment purposes, set parking brake Loosen nut on end of shift cable Ensure shift lever inside vehicle and Manual lever on transaxle are both in park Tighten nut making sure transmission manual lever stays in park Finally check for proper operation.
