Disconnect the driveshaft from the differential and use wire to hang the rear of the driveshaft out of the way, marking the flange alignment with paint before disconnecting. Remove the rear stabilizer bar and the EVAP canister, followed by the rear driveaxles. Note the routing of the wiring and disconnect it from the differential, then note the routing of the breather hoses and detach them. Place a floor jack under the differential and adjust it to support its weight, then remove the differential mounting nut from the rear of the subframe. Ensure the jack is properly seated under the differential, then remove the differential mounting bracket-to-subframe nuts and bolts. Carefully lower the differential with the jack until it can be slid from under the vehicle, removing the vibration damper weights if necessary for 2009 and later models. Installation is the reverse of removal, routing the vent hoses and wiring as originally configured and aligning the driveshaft flange mark with the mark on the differential flange. Finally, tighten the mounting fasteners and check the lubricant level, adding some if necessary.
