Next, you need to take off the engine cover, and there you will find the PCV valve-it is located on the valve cover, and whereas the PCV fresh air hose is at the front part of the valve cover, the PCV valve itself would be at the back part. Remove the PCV valve and pull out the hoses connected to it then. Insert your finger over the end of the valve with the engine running idling and at the normal temperature, if there is no drawing, seek a plugged hose or valve and replace any of the plugged or deteriorated hoses. While selecting a new PCV valve to buy, make sure it is suitable for your car and its engine capacity and size and flip the old valve and the new one to check.
