How to remove, inspect, and reinstall the fuel pump and fuel level sending unit assembly in a Nissan Pathfinder's fuel tank?

Relieve the fuel pressure. Pathfinder models need seat removal and access cover removal of the fuel pump/fuel level sending unit by unscrewing the rear seat screws. First remove the electrical connector from the fuel pump/sending unit assembly before disconnecting the tank shield if present. Set both components aside with the cover and wiring harness. To proceed with this task first remove the screws holding the fuel pump/sending unit and separate the fuel feed line and return lines from their mounting points.
