Depending on the year and the engine type, the CKP sensor can be positioned either facing the crankshaft while on the cylinder block near the rear housing or at a position that faces towards the crankshaft on the oil pan. To remove it, lift first vehicle then support it well using strong jack stands; then follow by removing under vehicle splash shield and heat shield for sensor protection. This will enable you to access the sensor. Thereafter, pull out sensor itself after loosening its mounting bolt. The installation of sensor is simply reversed as per these instructions.
