The switch of the transmission range is positioned in front of the automatic transaxle. In order to replace it, begin with removing the air inlet duck. The shift cable should be removed from manual lever after that. Then, unplug the electrical connector connecting the switch (consisting of a shift cable nut and an electrical connector). After that, remove the nut and detach the manual lever from shaft which also consists of a shift cable nut and an electrical connector. Take off mounting bolts and take away range switch by means of screws. Installation is reversing removal so align switch to its original position. Verify engine will start only in Park or Neutral position while back-up lights come on only in Reverse gear. Adjust it as necessary to make sure these conditions are met up with Range switch adjustment requires parking brake set, air duct assembly removed, loosening nut on end of shift cable, making sure vehicle's shifter and transaxle manual lever are both in Park mode, finally put your selector into Park position, then tighten nut while ensuring transmission manual lever stays at "Park". Finally check for proper operation.
