To start the job, take out the fuel pressure, then disconnect the black wire to the battery's negative terminal. First, lift the car and position it stable on jackstands, also take the extra step to block the front wheel to avoid rolling accidents with a Pathfinder. You will find the fuel filter below the car, close to the rear differential. First take off any dirt around the fuel line connections. Next loosen the clamps on both inlet and outlet hoses, and carefully detach the hoses from the filter. Get ready to collect and clean up any drops of gas with clean rags or a small container. Unbolt the fuel filter from its clamp and take off the filter from its bracket. To install the filter, reverse the removal steps - put it in the right position, and swap out any existing spring clamps for screw clamps.
