For the passenger's airbag unit, deactivate the airbag system, remove the glovebox, disconnect the airbag wiring connector, undo the bolts securing the airbag assembly to the facia support rail, release the retaining clips, and carefully withdraw the airbag from the facia. Refitting requires using new bolts to secure the airbag unit and tightening them to the specified torque, avoiding impacts during the process, and activating the airbag system upon completion. The side airbags are located within the front seat back and should not be removed; any issues should be addressed by a Nissan dealer. Similarly, the curtain airbags are located behind the headlining and should not be removed, with any suspected problems also referred to a Nissan dealer.
